Summer Ride

(This actually happened the middle of July)

We decided to go on a ride on Lake Mountain.  We ride a lot on Lake Mountain, but usually go up from the Eagle Mountain side. We decided this time to go up from Saratoga Springs side.  It was a beautiful day for a ride.
We got the kids loaded up and away we went.

Once we got to the top we took pictures over looking the lake. We ate our picnic lunch that we brought.

 The view from the top.....

Then it started to sprinkle a bit, then the sprinkles got a bit heavier, so we had to go find a place to hideout because we weren't totally prepared for a rainstorm.  So we rode around and until we found a good spot in the trees.

We found a nice little spot in the trees.  There was a pile of random wood scraps there, some pallets, some boards, and some sheets of plywood.  We had a good time making a "shelter" for us.

Here is Taylor and her "shelter" that she made all on her own.  Yes, it did tip over, luckily not when she was under it.

Look at Taylors face...... yes, she is a bossy big sister.

It was a beautiful day for a ride, even in the rain.  We had a great day together.

Yay for rain! It's good to see there's still some green on the top of that very burned mountain, however. And what a view from the top! I am impressed with your innovative shelters. But most impressed with how adorable the kids are, and how much they are growing!

Those shelters are hilarious! Looks like a super fun day with the family. What fun memories your kids will have of those times.
