Remember my post about my redneck lullaby?
And I was really worried about the effects of the lyrics on the impressionable mind of my son?
I think it is too late.
Yesterday morning he was having a moment and needed some mamma love. So I was holding him tight, rocking him, and singing this song. He stopped the tears, and started singing along with me.
Yep, you got it. He knows the words. I have emblazened them into his little brain by singing it to him for the last almost 3 years.
His little brother will probably learn it too.
Then when they are adults they are going to laugh and tease about what a messed up song their mamma sang to them as babies and little boys.

Somehow that doesn't seem to matter much in the long run. What really matters is that they'll know for certain sure their mom loved them and still does.
