More 4th

After the parade and other festivities we decided to go fishing up at Coleman. We thought that it would be a quiet escape, I think everyone else did too. There were quite a few people up there. But we stayed and played anyway.

Brogan thinks that any large body of water is a pool-- and so he thinks he should swim. We took his shoes off for a few minutes and let him squish in the mud until we found some broken glass. He wasn't too happy to put his shoes back on.

Grandpa decided to take him for a little ride.

That hat was so close to going in the lake.....

Matt and his......ummmm....... awesome Barbie pole!

There aren't alot of fishing pictures due to the fact that I had to keep Brogan out of the mud, Emmitt and Brogan were at the brink of a sword war with the sticks hitting each other, Kendal had to be mother hen and stop the boys fights, bugs were eating us.....the list goes on.

We went back to my parents house, played some more, bathed dirty kids, ate dinner, bribed the kids with fireworks to behave, visited, then finally the fireworks!!

Gotta love Utah and our firework regulations!!

But hey, the show got a standing ovation from the little ones!

We lit the fireworks out by the cabin. The kids loved it and cheered. Donkee (my dog) barked and tried to eat them.

It was a wonderful weekend filled with family and fun.

Isn't that what the United States of America is about?!

I hope everyone remembered to think, for a moment at least, of what we were really celebrating as we got together with our loved ones to spend time together.

Happy Birthday America!!

I just LOVE your pictures. You always do a good job. I need to remember to do the apple days next year- maybe my dad won't be in the hospital :)
